CPU Modules

Designing with a CPU module will take months off your design time and save you thousands of dollars. By doing less engineering, you remove risk from your project and get to a finished product faster than designing from scratch.

CPU Modules save time and money during hardware design, software design and manufacturing. Complex processor, memory and power supply design is avoided, no OS porting is required, and component purchasing is simplified.

Device Solutions modules are surface mount. You treat them like a chip in your design, and place them the same way during manufacture. By avoiding a high-pin connector you reduce the footprint and profile of your design. Costs are lower as you are not paying for a connector, and there are no vibration concerns in industrial and automotive environments.

.NET Micro Framework Development Kits

The Tahoe-II and Meridian/P development kits include full support for the latest release (v4.1) of the the .NET Micro Framework. Use the provided firmware images, or customise your own with the free source-code Board Support Package.

 Tahoe-II Development Kit

Tahoe-II supports all the major .NET Micro Framework features, including touch-screen LCD, Ethernet, SD Card, Serial ports and USB function. GPIO, I2C and SPI signals are available on the 0.1” header, and we also include an accelerometer.

What can you do with a Tahoe-II? Take a look at the videos created for the Microsoft Dare-to-Dream-Different contest.

 Meridian/P Micro Development Kit

Meridian/P is a prototype-friendly version of the Meridian CPU module. It includes the same processor and memory components, and adds USB and serial interfaces, and brings all the Meridian signals out on 0.1” headers.

Development Kits

3 Reasons to choose Device Solutions Development Kits!

One

Quick Start
Unpack, install, plug in and start coding. With the right bits in the box, and step-by step guides, there is nothing to slow you down in your mission to get code running.

Two

Easy prototyping
Attaching new chips to your development board is easy, with clearly labelled 0.1” headers exposing all the CPU Module pins.

Three

Simple to move to product
A development kit should be a step on the way to a product, not a detour.  Our CPU modules are at the core of our development kits.  This means you are developing on production hardware right from the start of your project.
