This page has all the information you need to get up and running with a 4.3" LCD on the Topaz Development Kit.
The 4.3” LCD module ships with:
The 4.3" LCD module uses a URT 4.3" TFT LCD (model UMSH-8253MD-T) which includes a touch-screen. The resolution is 480x272.
The Topaz LCD modules includes an ID chip, so the Operating System knows which display driver to use.
You have a couple of options for setting up your 4.3" LCD with the Topaz Dev Kit.
1. Side-by-side This is best if you need to attach things to the Topaz expansion headers
| 2. Mounted Mount the LCD board to the Topaz Dev Kit using that attached screws and spacers. |
Connecting the LCD Module to the Topaz Development Kit
For both options, you need to connect the LCD board and the dev kit together.
Follow these steps
Now connect the other end of the cable to the LCD module:
Turn both boards over, and you are ready to power up and test the connection.
The touch-screen calibration is usually close enough to enable you to operate a new board straight away.
If it is not accurate, recalibrate in Windows CE by selecting Start->Settings->Control Panel. Double-tap the Stylus icon and select the calibration tab. Press the Recalibrate button and follow the on-screen instructions.
If you need the side-by-side configuration, then there is nothing more to do!
Mounting the Topaz Development Kit and 4.3” LCD Board
